Friday began early, since we had a full day planned. We headed out for Kirtland, Ohio, where we saw the sights.

The temple was pretty with all the leaves turning colors. We couldn’t have wished for better weather. It was an absolutely gorgeous day.

Perfect weather for a picnic lunch on the temple grounds.

I tried on some bonnets and pretended to be a pioneer woman. I think I would make a good one, don’t you?

We took the ever-popular family photo in front of the Newel K. Whitney store,

explored the many trinkets displayed around the store,

learned about the school of the prophets,

and admired the beautiful grounds around Historic Kirtland before we headed off to Cedar Point.
About the only thing Preston wanted to do the entire time he was here, we go to Cedar Point. We hurried from Kirtland to Sandusky and made it in time to experience HalloWeekends.
After our trip last fall, Scott and I determined that this is our favorite time to come to Cedar Point. Everything is decked out for the holiday, the crowds are minimized, entrance fees are half price, and all the good rides are still open.

We had a grand time, cramming in as many rides as we could before midnight and everything shut down. We even managed to make it through a rather lame haunted house. We had a good time and made it home tired, sleepy, and ready for bed.

Cedar Point?!!! I grew up about a mile away from CP. Good ole Sandusky High School. Hope you liked Lake Erie. I miss it a lot.
